Truer words were never spoken and
provide the backdrop kicking off this
News Update.
Coming off a successful Annual General.
Meeting in Perth the middle of April,
we are re-energised in continuing our
stellar humanitarian programs throughout
Indonesia. Our goal is to ensure donations
from our generous supporters remain
focused on initiatives that assist us
in achieving our goal of addressing
avoidable blindness, keeping kids in school,
performing facial reconstruction miracles
and literally bringing a new “kick” in
the lives of young people with various
deformities.
The last two months have been a busy
period for Foundation staff despite
three major Balinese holidays – Nyepi
(the Day of Silence / New Year); Galungan
and Kuningan. In addition to undertaking
three more adopted missions, other
fundraising activities were front and centre.
Of particular note were the special Adelaide
fundraising event and two spontaneous yet
simultaneous initiatives started by Young /
Youth Ambassadors in Adelaide and Perth,
respectively. Our special thanks go to
everyone who contributed extraordinary
amounts of time and effort for the very
successful Adelaide launch of “2020 Bali
Eye.” Likewise, heartfelt appreciation goesto our little Ambassadors who through
their selfless acts of kindness will make a
difference in the lives of those we serve.
These children have followed President
Reagan’s message, a shining inspiration for
all of us.
